Innovative PAI Festival Returns, Spring 2023
13th edition of the popular piano festival to take place in March
Dublin, Ireland – The Piano Academy of Ireland (PAI) is excited to announce the return of its annual National Piano Festival, taking place in-person from March 16th-19th, 2023. Applications are now open for pianists of all ages and levels to participate in the festival, which promises to be an innovative and inclusive event for music lovers everywhere.
This year's festival will continue to showcase PAI's commitment to creativity and innovation, with the introduction of a one-of-a-kind NFT prize for top performers, and a limited-edition NFT Leprechaun for sale, with 10% of proceeds going to the Sheila Gouldson Scholarship Fund. Additionally, the festival will feature a Limerick Writing Contest, and a "Thank Your Teacher" video submission category, to show appreciation for the hardworking educators in the music community.
Festival participants can look forward to top-tier adjudication from Dr. Andreas Ioannides, Assistant Lecturer of Piano at the Munster Technological University in Cork, Ireland, and over €1000 in prize money, trophies, and medals. With competition categories for solo and duet performances, and categories for participants of all ages and skill levels, the festival promises to be a dynamic and inclusive learning opportunity for all.
As part of the St Patrick's Day festivities, the festival will premiere online and participants are encouraged to wear their finest or funkiest green attire when performing on stage. The deadline for submitting entries, Limerick videos is March 6, 2023, so don't wait to get started on your submissions!
