General Tuition

This program is the most conventional program, designed for those who want to enrich their lives. Piano tuition is one-to-one and offered to students of approx age 5 yrs and above. Occasionally we may start a student at 4yrs if the child comes from a musical background but mostly it is best to wait til minimum 5 yrs when the child has already completed some school and will be like a sponge! If s student is truly ready to start piano, they will indeed make speedy... read more

Musicianship Classes

It has always been our intention to offer a complete programme of musical training…a holistic approach to the learning of the piano, but something that has ultimately proved to be very challenging indeed within the time constraints of a weekly 30 or 45 minute lesson! There simply is not enough time to work on developing many of the invaluable Musicianship skills, which are actually most essential in the nurturing and developing of ... read more

Competition Preparation

piano competition preparation
Over the years we have also acquired some students of tremendous talent and we have expert teaching staff that are qualified to take them to a very high level. In recent years, students here have garnered prizes from Feis Ceoil, New Park Music Festival, Kilcoole Music Festival and many more. Diploma students have been very successful in earning their Diploma qualification while studying at the Piano Academy of Ireland, enabling them to go on and pursue a career in Music themselves

TESTIMONIALS

"I was very happy with the welcome I received at your open night and I know you did everything to facilitate my needs re my class." - Anne O' Sullivan, adult student

"School is very well run." - Elizabeth Mc Cullagh, parent

"There is a quiet air of efficiency about the Piano Academy of Ireland, with learning and personal endeavour (all levels) at the heart of things. Never stop learning…they say….and I know that at the end of the Academic year I will have covered a lot of new ground and be encouraged to continue." - Mark Duffy, adult student

"I like the personal atmosphere of the School." - Fr Frank Sammon, adult student

"We are really impressed- we have experienced a number of schools & the Piano Academy of Ireland is certainly very professional." - Ursula Johnston, parent

"Rachel simply enjoys her piano lessons. I don’t know how Rhona does it as I wasn’t around during the lessons but I can see that Rachel is well- motivated and is always looking forward to her next lesson. Rachel has only been in the School for 3 months and I have already seen an improvement. (I have tried two other piano teachers with her previously but did not go very far as she refuses to play for them- Rhona certainly has a way with young children!)" - Dr. Ruth Low, parent

"Having Archie as her teacher has developed Elva's self-confidence and has allowed her to progress in terms of her enjoyment of the piano. Elva always leaves her lesson on a positive note….even when she hasn’t done as much practise as she might!" - Rosaleen Connolly, parent

"The school is very professional, always developing and improving, although already at a high standard." - Ailish Mc Garrity, adult student

"I find communication from the school to parents is excellent.  I like to be well informed.  Post, email, text is great.  Website is fab." -Sophie O’Neill
