Alfonso Sanchez began his piano music studies at the age of 13 (2008) in the Music School of Yecla (Murcia, Spain). After three years he joined the second intermediate year in the Professional Conservatory of Music of Almansa (Albacete), where he studied with teacher Carlos Selles. He got several promotions, finishing his degree in three years time (2010-2014), and receiving honorable mention in the piano subject. Also, he was awarded with the first prize in the XIX competition End of professional studies. The last academic year he finished the BMus in piano performance (2014-2018) at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Valencia "Joaquín Rodrigo", studying with Victoria Alemany and Mila Molina. During the last year of the degree he received an Erasmus scholarship studying at the "Royal Irish Academy of Music" in Dublin, where he is currently doing an intensive Part-Time course with Professor Therese Fahy in Piano Performance. He has received master classes from internationally renowned pianists: Josu de Solaun, Ivan Ilic, John O'Conor, Jura Margulis Leonel Morales, Arkady Zenziper, Juan Lago, among others.
He has received the 1st prize in the XXII piano competition "Mestre Serrano", convened by Lo Rat Penat (doyen of the Cultural Entinties of Valencia), which also included a concert at the “Palau de la Música” hall of Valencia. He has taken part in numerous recitals as a soloist and accompanist of different instruments, choirs, etc. Collaborating, also, with the Conservatory Orchestra of Almansa.
He has experience in teaching in all levels an ages, from beginners to professional level, as well as accompanist for instrumentalist for different auditions and competitions, and working as piano repetiteur for Veronica’s Dunne lessons at the RIAM.
